The Callsign Tags feature allows operators to associate brief text descriptors with specific callsigns, enhancing visibility and contextual awareness of nearby stations within the SafecomLink environment.
Functionality and Purpose
Callsign tags are short text labels displayed next to a callsign in the Last Heard Call-outs or Beacon lists.
Identification: They serve as 'friendly identifiers' for contacts.
EmComm Role Assignment: They are particularly valuable in emergency communication (EmComm) operations. In EmComm scenarios, tags can represent assigned role names (e.g., "HQ") for each station in the network, streamlining communication and coordination
Callsign tag definitions are stored in a simple text-based configuration file that you can easily share with your team, ensuring everyone stays aligned
