The Message templates feature in SafecomLink, is engineered to support structured communication, particularly during Emergency Communication (EmComm) operations. These tools streamline the transmission process by utilizing standard predefined EmComm message templates.
Key Details of Message Templates
Standardization: The templates adhere to standardized message structures, most notably the ICS standard (Incident Command System).
Predefined Forms: Specific predefined forms included are ICS-213 (General Message), ICS-208 (Safety Message/Plan), ICS-210 (Resource Status Change), and ICS-214 (Activity Log).
Purpose in Crisis: The main value of using these ready-to-use forms is facilitating quick and accurate information exchange, which is essential during critical situations.
Usage: To access and utilize these forms, the operator must select EmComm mode. The templates are loaded within the Send VMail dialog box.
Customization: Users have the flexibility to create their own templates.
