The SafecomLink API is a built-in HTTP and JSON interface that allows your own scripts, programs, or external devices to connect, chat, and monitor a SafecomLink station in real time.

Key Value Proposition

The API turns your SafecomLink station into a programmatically accessible communication node. Whether you are automating message exchanges, building custom dashboards, integrating bots, or linking external software tools, the API ensures that your systems can seamlessly control radio links and exchange data without manual operator intervention.

Operational Details and Benefits

The API is part of SafecomLink Enterprise Edition and is designed for frictionless use with zero external installation required.

  • Universal Language Support: Built on plain HTTP and JSON, the API works natively with Python, curl, C++, and any other modern programming language.

  • Flexible Access (Local and LAN): Supports local access on the station PC via HTTP as well as secure local network access via HTTPS for other PCs, phones, and tablets.

  • Complete Radio Integration: The API uses the exact same underlying logic as the desktop interface, a connect command triggers the same frequency checks as pressing CONNECT, and messages flow into the standard outgoing queue under your station's callsign and license conditions.

  • Robust Built-in Security: Secured via 256-bit random authorization tokens, strict local network boundary checks, and strict request payload limits.

The SafecomLink API is ideal for operators, developers, and organizations looking to automate off-grid communications, build custom monitoring clients, or integrate radio links into broader software ecosystems, all with no internet required.
