SafecomLink for Pactor V14.0.29

Radio : Kenwood TS-480sat --- TNC SCS PTC-IIIusb

Yesterday after installing the latest mentioned upgrade My radio started giving me a problem.

once the 14.0.29 started to run the radio would keep changing frequency from 14.120.000 to 14.118.500 continually like a light being turned off and on.

When using Alpha 4 on CF14.109.000 the shift is set to -1.5 making the dial frequency 14.107.500.

because of this I considered that there was q conflict with the settings from Alpha 4 so I reset the TNC and again loaded 14.0.29 but the problem continued.

posted for the information of members and users.

📢 Important Update regarding AUTO-QSY. Please read!

We’ve identified a bug where, during SafecomLink fresh installation, the default AUTO-QSY setting is incorrectly set to OFF instead of ON. As a result, all QSY requests are rejected by default unless manually approved.

..

Similar to VarAC, enabling AUTO-QSY provides a protective mechanism that ensures QSY only occurs within the allowed SafecomLink range, so there is no risk in turning it on.

...

Please update this setting (as shown in the image) to enable Auto-Protected QSY, which is the standard default across all SafecomLink and VarAC networks.

Precision Control for PACTOR Audio Levels

Some of you have “complained” that it’s hard to set the exact PACTOR audio level (PSKA/FSKA) using the slider, as it’s not very sensitive. I hear you, and in the next version we’ve extended its range.

In the meantime, there’s a simple way to achieve very fine control, down to single-step adjustments. Just hover your mouse over the slider and use the mouse wheel to move it one value up or down. This lets you reach the exact number you need.

This already works in V14.0 that you have now.

Now go set it accurately :)
