One thing boats use Winlink for is to get GRIB weather files via Winlink email. The formatting of that email must be specific and not contain any extra text or characters. It is a shore line of text. It looks like using the email relay system on SafecomLink adds the sender's call sign and the word Vmail. Those cause the Saildocs system to only return an error message email. Is there any chance of sending email without added texts? The subject line can be blank or have "grib request" but usually it is blank.

I have attached a sample of a proper saildocs request email.

Hi Harley. Help me help you :) Take a VMAIL you got from SafecomLink and make manual adjustments to it (with ";" as suggested) and send it to Saildoc... make a few rounds to polish it and in the end tell me exactly what are the minimal changes requried to he VMAIL to go through the Saildoc parser. as I said - I can add a feature that strips the entire meta data but then you wont me able to get a reply to the gateway. only to your email.
